  10. I’m so thankful to have known Casey – we could always find something to laugh about. I will miss you my friend. The world is a better place because you were in it.

  11. Casey — and family and friends — I was very saddened to learn of the latest and worst twist in a very twisted journey. I really enjoyed working with Casey (and Jill) on the ski slopes and had such high hopes that we would be skiing again. An ending like this was supposed to be reserved for an old ski instructor and patroller like me. thanks for sharing a little of your life with me at Park City.

  12. Cousin Jane

Lou, Mo, Jill, Ben and Ruby — my heart aches for all of you. Casey was an inspiration to all of us, and his life and his legacy will live on forever. He touched so many lives and he will never, ever be forgotten. Please find comfort in knowing his pain is gone now and he is in great company up in Heaven – most likely a card going on right now …. you all have the most fantastic angels watching over you …. my love and prayers are with you.

    Love,
    Jane

Casey was so much fun to work with. I was always excited to when i had a project to work on with him. He was always so positive. My heart goes out to his family. May god bless him and cradle him in his arms.

  14. I am so very, very sorry to hear about Casey’s passing. I was a recruiter at Target, and helped hire him. (I’m now in music full-time.) Casey was such a genuine, principled, remarkable person. If you would like someone to sing at his service, please feel free to let me know. It would be a great honor for me to sing for him.

  15. My heart breaks today and for the days to come. No one has been more important in my life than Casey. A true champion and a friend like no other I’ve known. I love him and hope now that he’s free he can spend a little more time with all of us. I know he will. Look after us, darling. We need you.

  16. Steven Warren

I had Casey in my life for five years, and that’s a gift I’ll treasure for the rest of my life. He’s gone from us physically now, but lives on forever in our hearts and the wonderful memories.
Rest in peace, my courageous and brave and fabulous Friend ~~

  17. I am so sad right now, and my thoughts and hugs go to your family. Oddly, you came into my mind earlier today as I was crossing the stone arch bridge. It had been a while since we had last chatted and I was wondering how you were. I don’t think I knew anybody who had such a presence like you, and an intellect, and such insight and humor and perspective into everything. You were my favorite person in Minneapolis to talk to and I miss our meandering conversations and laughs at Fujiya or La Bodega. I didn’t think today would be the day, mister. I don’t have a clue how this universe works, but I refuse believe your passing doesn’t somehow afford you the gift of being more of that goodness in you than ever before. And I hope it’s possible we’ll cross paths again someday.

  18. When you read it, it takes your breath away. We are all better to have known you, and I am sending love and strength to your family right now. I hope you are finally at a place with peace and no pain.

I’ll Be There by Escape Club:
    Over Mountains
    Over Trees
    Over Oceans
    Over Seas
    I’ll be there

In a whisper on the wind
On the smile of a new friend
    Just think of me
    And I’ll be there

Don’t be afraid, oh my love
I’ll be watching you from above
And I’d give all the world tonight,
    To be with you
    Because I’m on your side,
    And I still care
    I may have died,
    But I’ve gone nowhere

    Just think of me,
    And I’ll be there

On the edge of a waking dream
    Over Rivers
    Over Streams
    Through Wind and Rain
    I’ll be there

Across the wide and open sky
    Thousands of miles I’d fly
    To be with you
    I’ll be there

Don’t be afraid, oh my love
I’ll be watching you from above
And I’d give all the world tonight,
    To be with you
    Because I’m on your side,
    And I still care
    I may have died,
    But I’ve gone nowhere

    Just think of me,
    And I’ll be there

In the breath of a wind that sighs
Oh, there’s no need to cry

    Just think of me,
    And I’ll be there
